Our timeline
Opticians in Buntingford
James Radley stepped down from his position in July 2021 and relocated with his family to North Yorkshire.
James and his practice manager, Edel, have established a reputation for a personal and friendly service.
The Next Chapter
The new owners – Michelle Doherty, Mark Udobang and Nichola Mason are excited to have the chance to uphold this reputation whilst steering the practice through its next chapter.
The new Directors bring with them vast experience combining 70 years in optical practices.
Meet theDirectors
Michelle Doherty
Michelle qualified as a dispensing optician in 2009 following 10 years working in the optical world. Her passion is frame styling and combined with her in depth technical knowledge provides a first class service. Michelle is a really friendly person and enjoys meeting new people in practice. The favourite part of her day is seeing the satisfaction of patients when they put on their new glasses. Michelle has fallen for the town and is looking to become a ‘local’ in the near future.
Nichola Mason
Nichola works part time in the practice as a Dispensing Optician and draws on her 30 years experience in optics to train the team and ensure the business doesn’t stand still for too long!
Mark Udobang
Mark is a Hertfordshire based Optometrist who qualified in 2006. He has a passion for providing first contact eye care as well as a lifetime of continuing care. He has undertaken further training in Public health and Independent Prescribing. He loves using advanced technology to diagnose and provide exceptional eyecare for patients and thinks it’s wonderful to be part of this beautiful community.
